Next-day service across the metro with no service call fee on estimates. A certified, insured, local crew that has serviced over 1,000 chimneys and backs every repair with a three-year written warranty.

Nobody wakes up wanting a Level 2 inspection. You notice a smell, a stain, or grit in the yard. Pick what's closest and we'll tell you what it usually means, what it takes to fix, and roughly what it costs. No sign-up, no phone number.
Six months of hard burning and roughly a hundred freeze-thaw cycles a year put stress on a chimney that milder climates never see. These are the failures we find most often across the metro.

A long burning season lays creosote down fast, especially with damp or unseasoned wood. Left alone it hardens into glazed third-stage buildup, which is genuine chimney fire fuel and cannot be brushed out.
Water soaks into brick, freezes, expands, and takes the face of the masonry with it. Minnesota runs that cycle dozens of times each winter, and it accelerates once it starts.
The concrete slab on top takes the worst of it. Once cracked, every snowmelt runs straight down into the masonry below. That's where most sudden leaks actually began, months earlier.
Older Twin Cities homes have clay tile. Decades of heat cycling crack it, and a cracked liner lets combustion gases including carbon monoxide reach framing and living space.
Modern weatherization makes homes far more airtight. Good for heating bills, bad for draft. Smoke rolling into the room on a cold night is usually a make-up air problem, not a dirty flue.
You don't need three contractors to sort out one chimney. Inside and out, top to bottom.

Creosote and blockage removed with professional brushes and HEPA vacuums. Hearth and floors protected, no mess left behind.

Cracked clay tile replaced with code-compliant stainless steel. The highest-stakes repair on the system.
Learn more →
Spalled brick replaced and mortar joints repacked with matched mortar. The standard fix for freeze-thaw damage.
Learn more →
Crowns re-poured, rusted chase covers replaced, rain caps fitted to keep water and animals out.
Learn more →
Water traced to its actual entry point, repaired at the source, then sealed with breathable waterproofing.

Draft diagnosed properly rather than guessed at. Often a make-up air issue in newer or weatherized homes.
Learn more →
Animals and nesting debris removed, then capped so it doesn't happen again next spring.

When freeze-thaw has gone too far for repointing, we rebuild above the roofline with matched brick and proper flashing.
Learn more →Most chimney companies make you book a visit just to find out what anything costs. Here's ours.
Readily accessible areas checked, photographed, written findings. Recommended once a year.
Adds an interior flue camera scan. Required at property transfer or after a chimney fire.
Starting price for a standard residential flue. Final depends on condition and buildup.
No service call fee, no charge to come out, written quote before any work begins.
Repairs are quoted after we look, not before. Anyone who gives you a masonry price over the phone is guessing, and that guess always gets corrected upward once they're on the roof. The estimate is free precisely so you get a real number instead.
Two chimneys on the same street can quote very differently. These are the six factors that move the number, so you know what you're looking at when the estimate arrives.
A single-story ranch with a low pitch is straightforward. A steep three-story roof means harnesses, staging and more crew hours before any work starts.
Some rebuilds simply can't be done off a ladder. When staging is required it's often the single biggest line on a masonry quote.
Repointing a few feet of joint is a different job from a chimney that's lost structural integrity above the roofline. Visible damage isn't always the whole story.
Older Twin Cities homes often need color-matched mortar and salvaged or matched brick. It's the difference between a repair you see and one you don't.
Liner cost scales with flue height and diameter, and with the appliance it serves. A tall masonry flue for a wood stove is a different job from a short gas insert.
The single largest cost driver. Spalling that was tuckpointing two years ago becomes a partial rebuild. Nearly every expensive job we quote was a cheap one once.
Real jobs from the field.

The same ones you'd get on the phone.
A Level 1 inspection is $69 and a Level 2 inspection is $119. Level 1 is the standard annual check of readily accessible areas. Level 2 adds an interior camera scan of the flue and is required when a home is sold, after a chimney fire, or when you change fuel types or appliances. Both include photo documentation and written findings.
Sweeps start at $149 for a standard residential flue. The final price depends on how much buildup there is, how accessible the chimney is, and whether the flue has glazed third-stage creosote, which takes considerably more work to remove than ordinary soot.
Once a year for most households, and the reason is our burning season. Industry standard is an annual inspection with cleaning as needed, but Minnesota homes burning from October through April accumulate creosote faster than the national average. If you burn several times a week, or burn softwood or unseasoned wood, annual is the floor rather than the ceiling.
Because the number would be wrong. Masonry pricing depends on roof access, the extent of damage below the surface, whether mortar has to be color-matched, and whether staging is required. None of that is visible from a phone description. We'd rather come out free and give you an accurate figure than quote low and revise it once we're on the roof.
Next-day service in most cases across the metro. If you have an active leak, you smell smoke inside the house, or you suspect a chimney fire, call rather than fill out the form and we'll prioritize you.
Our workmanship, in writing. For three years after any job we complete, if something we did needs fixing, we cover the labor. Storm damage and other acts of nature aren't workmanship, and materials fall under the manufacturer's warranty, but even then we'll take care of you with a significant discount on labor.

All of them. Full masonry and brick, prefabricated and factory-built, wood-burning and gas. Older Twin Cities homes tend to have masonry chimneys with clay tile liners, while newer suburban construction is usually factory-built with a chase and chase cover. We work on both.
